The Argument at Coed

The ceremony had finished, and Ryan and Zoe were now officially married. We’d just wrapped up the quick photo shoot and were heading back to the party. “I’m telling you, if you stand right here, you can see Exeter” – Ryan said. I squinted into the distance, straining my eyes to spot any familiar landmarks. “No way, Ryan. That’s way too far.” Ryan was adamant and Zoe, our ever-patient third wheel, chuckled, her amusement evident.

As our fruitless debate continued, I couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt for not being able to accept Zoe’s husband’s arguments, especially considering it was Zoe who had suggested Coed, a venue she’d stumbled upon while browsing wedding websites. She’d raved about its rustic charm and breathtaking views, and I’d agreed, eager to capture the couple’s love story in such a unique setting.

Zoe’s Revenge

Two weeks later, as I was scrolling through my inbox, I came across a notification from a review website. Zoe had left a comment about my photography services. While I was initially apprehensive, I clicked on the link, curious to see what she had to say.
To my surprise, Zoe was full of praise for my work. She loved the candid shots I’d captured, and the way I’d managed to capture the essence of their special day. However, there was one point she raised that I couldn’t ignore: she complained about how hard it was to choose photos to print.

We had the pleasure of having Tom as our wedding photographer. He did an amazing job, ver communicative throughout the leadup. On the day he was fab, making sure he was there to capture all the important details. Both myself and my now husband are not particularly comfortable in front of a camera but he was really good at encouraging us into some poses that looked amazing in the final photos, but also he was great at photographing us when we weren’t aware so we also have a lot of really lovely candid shots to choose from. Our final photos came in a beautifully presented and personalised box and memory stick which he delivered. And the photos…oh my god we were blown away. The colours are beautiful, we have too many amazing photos to choose from when thinking about printing any which is my only complaint! Highly recommend Tom for any photography needs, especially weddings.

I had to admit, she had a point. When I’d been selecting photos for the gallery, I’d been overwhelmed by the sheer number of beautiful images I had to choose from. It was a challenge to narrow it down to a select few that would represent the day in its entirety.

The Beauty of Coed Weddings

This was precisely the beauty of documenting a relaxed couple’s wedding in a unique setting like Coed. The venue itself was so picturesque that every moment was a potential photo opportunity. From the intimate ceremony in a small Jacobean style barn to the carefree dancing in rustic circular barn, every detail was a source of inspiration.
